Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by using physical touch, joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, and movement & lifestyle advice.
We take a holistic view of the structure and function of the body to diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions. Our work is centered on the principle that the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues of an individual need to function smoothly together so as to maintain wellbeing.
No two issues or injuries are the same, so our treatments are tailored to your unique case. Our aim is to understand why a particular area is painful or not functioning optimally.
By taking the time to really talk to you during a detailed case history it is possible to understand why your body has chosen its particular strategy to function, even if it is a strategy that may be causing you discomfort. By understanding the 'why' it is possible to creating a long lasting solution.
We aim to restore bodily equilibrium through increasing the mobility of joints, relieving muscle tension, enhancing blood and nerve supply to tissues, and encouraging an individual’s own healing mechanisms.
Our focus is on dis-ease prevention and improvement of health and wellbeing to maximise the potential for individuals to live full and active lives within their family circles, social networks, education and/or the workplace.
In the UK, Osteopathy is a health profession regulated by UK law, and Osteopaths are Allied Healthcare Professionals.
Cheryl graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2010 and has over 17 years of clinical experience.
She loves to empower people to improve their health & wellbeing through simple & achievable lifestyle adjustments, and has a passion for movement-as-medicine and stress management for improved health.
She has a deep understanding of pain science, and how not all pain is due to pathology or disrupted anatomy, no-matter what x-rays or MRIs might show.
The role of stress and trauma in the experience of persistent pain is not widely known (or taught!) - she loves to teach people about the fascinating connection of body and mind, and how stress and trauma may be playing a critical role in maintaining dis-ease and discomfort. She incorporates hands-on therapy, movement therapy, and teaches somatic (body) as well as cognitive (brain) techniques to help the body-mind feel safe enough to reduce the stress/ pain cycle.
With lived experience of how chronic stress can result in persistent pain and poor pelvic health, Cheryl understands first-hand the connection between mind and body, and how to recover and find health again.
Because of this experience Cheryl discovered a passion for pelvic health, and set about learning as much as she could. She's now a certified Mummy MOT® practitioner, certified movement teacher (Restore Your Core®) certified birth educator (Body Ready Method®) and holds a post-graduate diploma in Women's Health Osteopathy.
She is currently training to become a Perinatal Corrective Exercise Specialist, a Mummy MOT Fit Pro, and a Perinatal Coach. She's confident in guiding you towards a stronger, more functional body.
Cheryl compassionately accompanies people through recovery - including difficulties with pelvic girdle pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, persistent back pain, diastasis recti, and painful sex.

She also teaches yoga, breathwork, and meditation, and has been doing so for 7 years. She's also now training in Applied Kinesiology, and is so excited to integrate this into her practice.
Bee loves how the philosophies of both Osteopathy and Yoga align in a way that understands the importance of the collaboration of every facet of our being as humans.
Feeling inspired by human connection, she feels it is valuable for everybody to experience this, which is something she brings into the treatment room. Bee holds space for her patients to be heard as much as she can facilitate.

After a career as a professional dancer and dance teacher Rebecca studied at the European School of Osteopathy, graduating in 2024, and became a certified Infant Feeding Coach in 2024.
She is passionate about empowering her clients through individualised care,
compassion, and evidence based education. She works to achieve this by fostering an inclusive environment via working with people of all ages, identities, and backgrounds to ensure everyone feels respected and valued.
Rebecca is continually inspired to expand her knowledge using the full spectrum of osteopathic approaches.
At times we can become overwhelmed, and our resources depleted by stress,
illness, or physical and emotional trauma - much like a cup that has reached its
brim and begins to overflow. Rather than 'fixing' you, Rebecca's focus is on helping you to remove the obstacles that prevent your body from supporting itself effectively. Through manual treatment and the introduction of tools for both mind and body, she aims to either assist in recovery or help manage chronic symptoms - allowing the cup to stop spilling over and restoring balance.
Her approach is centred on collaboration, where we work together to make
informed decisions about your care. She believes in empowering you to take an
active role in your health journey, whilst providing guidance and support along
the way. Together, we work in a way which reflects your needs,
values, and goals, helping you take charge of your well-being.
Up to half of all post-natal people experience dysfunction in both the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles after pregnancy, and up to a third still have a tummy gap at eight weeks post-birth.
This can lead to difficulties feeling comfortable doing everyday activities, such as walking, bending, or carrying, and even be the cause of pelvic/back pain, and bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction.
These conditions are treatable, and should not be something you should just put up with as a result of having a baby.
It’s recommended that women have an initial assessment after their 6-8 week GP check, but we also treat women who gave birth years ago that may still have a tummy gap or related pelvic floor issues.
Your 75 minute assessment will include:
Body Ready Method® (BRM) Pros are certified in the leading approach to preparing for a more functional pregnancy, your desired birth and beyond.
Helping you with aches and pains, preparing for a VBAC, a smoother transition to postpartum, and more.
Cheryl will assess your posture, movement patterns, and will talk with you about how daily activities may be adapted to better support you throughout your pregnancy.
As well as hands-on treatment, specific movements to promote better mobility through your upper body, pelvis, and pelvic floor will be taught, and Cheryl can discuss with you how to help address any delays during your labour.
Cheryl also offers 1:1 2 hour Birth Preparation sessions - learn about breathing techniques, pushing positions, and more - all to help you have a more efficient birth.
Restore Your Core (RYC) Pros have a deep understanding of how your current movement patterns may be contributing to poor pelvic health, to a diastasis recti, or to discomfort and pain.
Cheryl is trained to assess how you move, how to help you find more optimal patterns of movement, and how to teach you to support your core and pelvic floor during physical activity. This movement coaching approach is incorporated into treatment sessions, and via movements to do at home.
Cheryl can teach you how to:
- Have a functional core so that your movements do not place undue strain your body or cause you to compromise when you exercise.
- Strengthen your body effectively and efficiently in order to be able to workout with great results and move without compensation.
- Understand, activate, and strengthen your pelvic floor so that sneezing, running, jumping and coughing do not cause you to leak.
- Learn exercises to improve your diastasis recti, strengthen your core and improve your pelvic floor function.
LPG Endermologie can help with scars by promoting circulation and increasing collagen production in the skin. The deep tissue massage and suction provided by the machine can help to break up scar tissue, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the production of new collagen, which is essential for healthy skin.
Collagen is a protein that is found in the skin and connective tissues, and it plays an important role in wound healing and skin regeneration. By increasing collagen production, LPG Endermologie may help to improve the texture and appearance of scars.
As well as scar tissue reduction, LPG Endermologie can also help with the symptoms of endometriosis.
For most surgeries, it's recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks before undergoing LPG Endermologie or any other type of massage therapy. This allows sufficient time for the incision site to heal and for any swelling or inflammation to subside.
(It's important to note that results may vary depending on the severity of the scar and other individual factors.)
LPG treatment can be included into your treatment session at no extra cost.
