MEET THE TEACHERS
Andrea has been teaching Pilates for 19 years.
She trained in contemporary Pilates with the Pilates Foundation, and over the years she has continued her studies to help develop her learning.
Andrea is currently retraining in the Classical method with Everybody Pilates. Her studio is becoming Classical and staying true to the original method created by Joseph Pilates.
Her classes are small as she likes to teach the body in front of her. Her aim is to teach the individual, even in a group setting.
Andrea is also trained in Somatic Movement, and will weave this into her classes.
Clients come to her to help improve their fitness, for post-surgical rehabilitation, general help with posture and alignment, and athletes come to improve sporting technique.
Caroline is a Level 3 Pilates mat teacher, and is continuing her training to Level 4 as well as pre and post natal Pilates exercise.
Caroline has been practising Pilates for over six years but always knew she wanted to turn her passion into her purpose, after Pilates helped her regain strength following the birth of her second child.
Caroline has always loved dance and studied contemporary dance at A Level. Caroline enjoys a dip in the sea and visiting the sea sauna in Sandgate. She also loves hanging out with her family, but takes time for herself to read in a local coffee shop every Saturday morning after attending Pilates.
Andrea and the apprentice teachers offer private 60 minute (1:1) and semi-private (2:1) classes in the fully equipped Pilates studio.

Reformer Classes
The Reformer is a Pilates apparatus designed with a system of springs and pulleys that allow an exercise to become more accessible or more challenging, depending on the set up.
Tailored to everyone:

Tower Classes
Like a Reformer class, but using a larger stable surface upon which to work.
Challenging balance, working on alignment and increasing mobility.
You will stretch and strengthen with each movement, whilst controlling the springs from your centre.

Jump Board Classes
The jump board adds more of a cardio element to the Reformer.
This is not a class for complete beginners; you should have a few classes under your belt, be reasonably body-aware, and be looking to work a bit harder.

Due to the small surface area available for your body, the Wunda Chair adds an element of challenge and guides you to finding a deeper connection to your centre.
The Wunda Chair can help you to understand exercises done on other pieces of equipment and the mat - improving strength, control, and alignment.

GENTLE FLOW
A slow-paced class featuring more seated and supported postures. Class moves through a series of gentle movements connecting your breath to your body, improving relaxation, flexibility and recovery.

YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is slower and more meditative than other forms of yoga, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.
Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those tissues while also teaching you how to breathe and sit with your thoughts.

Bee has been on her yoga journey for over 10 years, and teaching for 7.
Her training originates in traditional Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Meditation & Mindfulness, and Conscious Breath.
The practice of yoga was the catalyst for a huge personal transformation, which allowed her to lean into the ancient wisdom and knowledge, to then share it with others.
Bee is also a practicing Osteopath. This deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human systems has created a harmonious blend of skills which are demonstrated, and felt in her classes.
Bee will guide you into an embodied practice, where you can meet yourself.

At Grace Hill Studios she teaches Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Yoga For Mums, as well as Mama Dance classes in Folkestone along with monthly Mothers Circles and Seasonal Retreats.
