MEET THE TEACHERS
Andrea Creary has been teaching Pilates for over 16 years. She trained with the Pilates Foundations, and over the years she has continued her studies to help her develop her own learning.
Andrea is trained in pre- and post-natal Pilates, and Somatics.
Her classes are small as she likes to teach to the body in front of her. Her aim to teach to the individual even, in a group setting.
She has a dedicated equipment studio featuring Reformers, a Cadillac, and a Wunda Chair.
Andrea also offers group mat classes in the Loft Studio.
Absolute beginners are welcome to see Andrea.
Emily started her Pilates journey whilst training as a dancer, gaining a BA (hons) at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
Throughout her time studying dance Emily developed a special interest in Pilates because of the beneficial effects on posture, strength and flexibility.
Dance training also developed Emily’s understanding of injury prevention and she experienced how Pilates can strengthen and enhance performance.
After graduating, Emily decided to continue her interest and practice of Pilates techniques and after seeing the merits of Pilates for everyone, decided she wanted to train further.
Emily trained with Stott Pilates in London gaining her Pilates mat-work qualification. She has also gained a level 2 fitness instructor and level 3 personal training qualification.
Prior to teaching Pilates, Emily was a dance teacher in a variety of styles but specialising in Ballet and technical dance.
Emily’s classes include strengthening and stretching of muscles to promote correct posture and ease of movement.
Caroline is a Level 3 Pilates mat teacher, and is continuing her training to Level 4 as well as pre and post natal Pilates exercise.
Caroline has been practising Pilates for over six years but always knew she wanted to turn her passion into her purpose, after Pilates helped her regain strength following the birth of her second child.
Caroline has always loved dance and studied contemporary dance at A Level. Caroline enjoys a dip in the sea and visiting the sea sauna in Sandgate. She also loves hanging out with her family, but takes time for herself to read in a local coffee shop every Saturday morning after attending Pilates.

YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is slower and more meditative than other forms of yoga, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.
Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those tissues while also teaching you how to breathe and sit with your thoughts.

Yasmin Lambat helps unlock your blueprint to recovery through your body’s fascia (the soft
connective tissue that forms the shape and structure of everything in your body in one continuous web).
It can become stuck, strained or inflamed under any form of physical and emotional stress, affecting not only your posture and movement but your vitality and wellbeing.
She comes with 30 years of experience as a movement professional and body worker, working with the body/mind connection to release long-held trauma, stress, and chronic pain.
People who work with Yasmin experience a shift from the very first session. Her somatic approach helps you calm the stress response and unlocks your body’s recovery blueprint.
It’s not a quick fix but a process of repatterning that will take more than one session.
She will help you connect to fascial unwinding - a spontaneous process of recovery where the body unwinds
intuitively, releasing long-held patterns of strain and stuckness from the inside out.
An alternative to stretching or deep tissue massage to release tension, you can experience it through somatic
movement.
Lily is a craniosacral therapist and sound therapist.
Lily will guide you through crystal bowls therapy, complemented by therapeutic percussions. The way instruments are played is designed to bring you in deeper state of consciousness, where you may find inner peace and answers.
Frequently, during these sessions, both physical and emotional pain dissipates, leaving participants with a light heart and clear mind.
Science has only scratched the surface about the power of sound. It is quicker for sound to travel
through water, because this is what our bodies are mostly made of, the ability to penetrate deeply
and go through soft tissues and density of bones is incredible.
The intensity of sound can also
promote emotional response, which might surprise clients and make them feel unstable. It can be seen as an opportunity to get to the core of one's issues, perhaps getting rid of unwanted thought patterns, and then we are able to get closer to our true selves.
Due to the power of sound and contradictions of the soundbath, it is not advised to anyone
who is in the first trimester of pregnancy, suffers from sound triggered epilepsy, or has severe
mental issues such as schizophrenia.
However, please reach out to Lily with any questions, and she can discuss your individual circumstances.
